Community and Premium editions under the Business Source License

Eryxon Flow moved from Apache 2.0 to the Business Source License 1.1 and split into a Community edition you can self-host for one workshop and a Premium edition for multi-site use, native apps and ERP planning connectors. Covers v0.9.0 through v0.9.2.

The source stays readable and modifiable. Community is free to self-host for a single production site. Multi-site use, offering it as a service and the commercial add-ons need a commercial license. Each version converts to GPL v2 or later four years after release.

Native iOS and Android integration, barcode scanning through the device, biometric unlock and push notifications moved to Premium. Community keeps camera and photo upload through the browser and runs on any tablet or phone.

Planning connectors are Premium

Announced at the time. Correction (0.11.0): no planning connector exists and there is no Premium edition; ERP and planners integrate through the REST API, webhooks and the MCP server.

Version and test housekeeping

The package version matches the changelog again, the dependency lockfile no longer carries the removed native tree, and the test suite runs on current Node releases.

Update, September 2026: the Premium edition described here was withdrawn in 0.10.1. Multi-site use and offering the app as a service are covered by the commercial licence; nothing else is held back.

v0.9 is the licensing release. Eryxon Flow is source-available under the Business Source License 1.1: read it, change it, run the Community edition for your own workshop at no charge. Multi-site deployments, hosting it for others and the commercial add-ons are Premium.

The same split moved native device features and the ERP planning connectors out of Community. The Community app is a plain web application that runs on the tablets, kiosks and phones already on the shop floor.
